About Me!

Ragul Lourthunathan, a professional wildlife photographer since 2016, with a deep-rooted passion for nature that began in my childhood. Growing up near the lush Yercaud Hills, I spent countless hours exploring the outdoors, fascinated by its intricate beauty. My first steps into photography began during family outings with a close friend of my father—a wedding photographer—who encouraged me to capture butterflies and flowers using a digital camera. That early curiosity has since grown into a full-fledged career and calling.

Though I'm a Law Graduate my heart has always belonged to the wild. Today, I specialize in Wildlife, bird, and macro photography, with a particular focus on Mammals , reptiles, amphibians, and insects—subjects that demand both patience and precision. Over the years, I’ve developed a distinct photographic style that blends artistic storytelling with ecological awareness, aiming to shed light on often-overlooked species and fragile ecosystems.

I shoot exclusively with Canon gear, which allows me to achieve precision and clarity in both close-up and action shots. My field experience, combined with a deep respect for wildlife, helps me create images that are both visually compelling and ethically responsible.

Equipped with A professional-grade camera kit and years of field experience, I now lead mentoring tours and photography workshops, helping others discover the joy and responsibility of photographing the natural world. Whether it's the iridescence of a butterfly wing or the Majestic movement of a Tiger in the Deep Forest , my goal is to capture moments that inspire conservation and awe.
